Cinnamon: The Compass Within
Deep in the sprawling underbelly of Bordesley Hollow, where neon lights flicker against crumbling alleyways, a genetically modified, man-made creature called Cinnamon was born in an underground lab, where barbaric animal testing was conducted to prolong the human lifespan. When the experiment was uncovered, the practice was condemned, leaving this curiously different creature behind.
.
Unlike the others, who were bred to obey orders and react to threats, Cinnamon’s mind worked in a way the scientists couldn't predict. He struggled to understand social cues, fixating on details others ignored. Loud noises overwhelmed him, yet he showed an unnatural ability to notice patterns, spot hidden routes, and memorize entire city maps in seconds.
After the lab was raided, a ruthless gang that ruled Bordesley Hollow's slums, Cinnamon was taken in as a novelty, a pet, at first. But his talent for mapping escape routes and bypassing security systems made him valuable. The gang, failing to recognize his neurodivergent nature, pushed him into dangerous situations. Cinnamon, lacking a natural fear response, never hesitated. He didn’t grasp the concept of betrayal or the idea that not everyone had good intentions.
One night, during a high-stakes heist, Cinnamon was abandoned when things went wrong. Left behind in enemy territory, he wandered the streets, confused and alone. Some saw him as a liability. Others saw him as an asset to exploit. But in his mind, he was just searching for a home, for someone who understood.
Despite Cinnamon's trauma and diagnosis he now follows his own map. He was created into a world without acceptance and understanding but despite the odds he knows there are people like him. Cinnamon's first step was to build a home, his second is the greater good.
Cinnamon has exceeded all odds and campaigns for those who's disability and trauma has led them to feel they don't belong or that they cant succeed .
